What Are Ley Lines?

In 1921, Alfred Watkins developed the concept of ley lines. He believed that ley lines are straight, electromagnetic paths that connect to ancient sacred sites around the world. Ley lines can’t be seen on a map like longitude and latitude, but these lines are the foundational organization of the earth’s energetic grid.

The Irish believe that ley lines are paths to fairies. Peruvians and South Americans believe ley lines to be “spirit lines”. In China, they are known as Dragon Lines, and the ancient Aboriginals called them Dream Lines. There are so many cultures around the world that believe that ley lines lead to magic, and make it their mission to discover and decode this wisdom of interconnectedness through magnificent landmarks.

The idea of ley lines as magical, mystical alignments is a fairly modern one. It is believed that where two or more lines converge, you have a place of great power and energy, and that where many ley lines intersect, they are aligned with astrological constellations. Many well-known sacred sites, such as Stonehenge, Glastonbury Tor, the Pyramids at Giza, Mount Shasta, Lake Titicaca, and Machu Picchu sit at the convergence of several ley lines.

Ley Lines, Crossroads, and Vortexes

Crossroads are particularly notable as supernatural areas and are said to be cross-points between energy fields in the earth’s grid system, or intersecting ley lines. Where ley lines supposedly crossed, a strong “power spot” was created. These nodes could produce an energy “vortex”. Vortexes are energy fields where electromagnetic energy rising from the earth is said to be portals for celestial and terrestrial spirits.

Earth’s Chakra Points

Earth chakra points are where energy spirals and flows down like a faucet. The general essence of the Earth’s chakra points are to magnify the energy correlated to the body’s chakras. When you immerse yourself in these energy fields you will find that your own physical electromagnetic field will become aligned with the frequency of the chakra point you are in. They are said to balance and regulate the electromagnetic field of Earth to stabilize our planet’s energy.
