"Looking for the gateway to awakening? Looking for a spiritual guide to take you through the gateway; then look to Finbarr Ross, a charismatic, wise and knowledgeable man, who will provide you with everything you dreamed of…..and more.On my tour to Ireland, I found that it was as much about the guide as it was about the places you visited. Everything promised was delightfully delivered along with a few surprises that he tucked in along the way. I felt like I was traveling with my best friend.
If you are interested in trips with laughter, insight, history and discovery, Celtic Mystical Journeys is the journey of 'what’s happening now.' I was so impressed that I am making another journey with him in the fall of 2012. I can hardly wait!"
James P. Lynch and Jaclyn writes ...
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank Celtic Mystical Journeys in general, and Mr. Finbarr Ross in particular, for providing me and my soulmate with incredible experiences on our various holidays in England, Scotland, and Ireland. Finbarr insists on the best for travelers as they embark on pilgrimages into magical places. Finbarr uncompromisingly insists on quality, safety and fun. Finbarr avoids typical tourist places; instead, this gentleman takes small groups to tiny chapels, unknown cemeteries filled with historic celtic crosses, wells, and private sacred spots throughout the Celtic historical landscape. Finbarr has taken us to places where the average person could never enter into in the wildest of dreams.
When one is abroad, risks and challenges can be around the corner. What if we had an accident? A fall, a slip on the sidewalk in the Irish rain? One incident occurred on the island of Iona. Jaclyn slipped and fell on a sidewalk. Finbarr assisted quickly, effectively and professionally. Jaclyn was fine. But Finbarr was there. BRAVO1 On with the tour.
Fun! Finbarr Ross is not only a guide, but he is a fun person to hang out with. Whether it is an an out of the way restaurant, a rare and historical archeological site unknown to most, or a rural pub that opened up JUST FOR US, Finbarr guides his small group of friends throughout these magical places with stories, anecdotes, and a smile.
Finbarr and I have enjoyed many times together throughout Ireland, England, and Scotland in a car, a ferry boat, or on misty forest paths. I would like to say that anyone thinking of a holiday of historic and magical proportions tour with this historical scholar. Seek out Celtic Mystical Journeys, with your personal guide, Sir Finbarr Ross. You will find a guide to show you an incredible inside look into the Celtic world of England, Ireland and Scotland. It will be a tour imprinted on your memory forever because of the incredible guide, Finbarr Ross.

"On the trip I took with Finbarr, I wasn’t seeking a spiritual experience per se, rather the opportunity to feel and connect with the shakti of places that had been important to humanity for thousands of years. Yet, I received much more than that. The trip righted me, or set me to rights, after having been run a bit off course by the stresses of living in the modern world. I was so happy I went.Finbarr is an alchemist in that he has sought out some of the most profound energies on the planet and, in leading you there, he enables your transmutation into something more refined and purified than you were before the journey. His trips both deepen you and refresh you."
Patricia C. from New York writes ...
"When one travels on a spiritual journey, one usually gets what is advertised in the brochure. With Finbarr Ross at Celtic Mystical Journeys gives much more than is expected. Because he knows the land upon which he travels so well, he takes groups to the less traveled, non-tourist sights where the pilgrim can feel the presence of Spirit in quiet. There are daily meditations, ceremonies or rituals in important sites. We did toning on the beach, meditation on the top of mountains, and full moon ceremony at a religious site. One feels safe with Finbarr both spiritually and physically. On a Finbarr trip one needs just focus on connecting with Spirit and having fun. I have been on two of Finbarr's journeys and can't wait to go again. In the world of spiritual travel, Celtic Mystical Journeys is a good thing."

"Dear Finbarr, the trip that you arranged for me and my friends was totally delightful. It was full of whimsy, was informative and while jam-packed, it was always at a relaxed pace. The selected gardens and towns were lovely and the hotels and meals were DELISH!!!!!. Your attention to detail and your obvious experience made our trip to Ireland a magical experience. Bravo!!!!
Sincerely, Laura S."

"The Sacred Celtic Journey which I embarked upon with Finbarr Ross as my guide was a time of wonderful communion with people, places and spirituality. We travelers were all very different in our backgrounds and beliefs but came closer together under Finbarr's leadership as the journey and our connections with each other developed. It was undoubtedly one of the most enjoyable and enlightening holidays I have ever experienced. Out of the way places were made accessible and the group was small enough to accommodate our individual needs and requests."
England Testimonials
Winnie D. from New York writes about several tours and conferences...
"Dear Finbarr, I want to express my appreciation to you and Celtic Mystical Journeys for the wonderful conferences and inspiring tours I have been privileged to take part in.
I attended your 2007 'Awaken to the Divine Feminine' Conferences in Phoenix and London, and learned a lot from the inspiring, dedicated presenters. In January 2008 I will be doing a presentation on the 'Return of the Divine Feminine' for my own group in Western NY, sharing some of what I learned at the conferences.
The October 2003 tour of sacred sites in Southern France…following the footsteps of Mary Magdalene and the Holy Family… was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Claire Heartsong channeled many informative and inspiring messages from Anna , the grandmother of Jesus, concerning their life in France after the Crucifixion. We did ceremony and important clearing in many of the areas we visited. Upon returning home, I presented a slide show and talk about our experiences for several local groups.
The October 2007 tour of Glastonbury, Stonehenge, Avebury, Salisbury, etc. was another memorable one. Meditations led by Natalie Panton helped us open our chakras and send healing to the world. At various sacred sites, we were treated to channeled inspiring messages from Master Kuthumi and Mary Magdalene through Michelle Eloff. I have already presented several slide shows and talks on my experiences at the various sites, and have another scheduled for after the New Year. Each of these tours was well-planned, the food and accommodations were great, and the wonderful friendships that were formed have continued afterward. I look forward to going with you to other sites in the future.
Blessings and peace -Winnie"

"I highly recommend Finbarr's trip to England. I took it last summer (2005) and enjoyed every minute. The energies were transporting. I felt myself in another dimension much of the time. As for the physical aspects, Finbarr arranged for most comfortable accommodations and great food, as well as getting us to sights before the crowds or without the crowds altogether. Finbarr takes great care of his fellow travelers and is a wonderful host. I plan on more trips with Finbarr."

The Celtic Mystical Ireland Adventure Testimonial September 3 through 13, 2007 From the Protea Travel Newsletter
"Definitely a change of pace! The adventure promised by Finbarr Ross our ceremonialist, healer and process facilitator of self discovery and spiritual wisdom, and our guide delivered all that was promised and more.Wearing my Travel Consultant hat, with more years of experience than I care to count, I can tell you that I was amazed at the attention to detail. Not only was the quality promised; hotel accommodations, food, sites, fulfilled, but exceeded.I have traveled through Ireland by car, a brooding beautiful land, before but this trip made it come alive with Celtic spirituality, and legend that you can not find in any other trip. While learning about Ireland's holy places, where Druids once taught and the Celtic culture thrived, and my Fairy friends frolic, I found healing, closure of a past life, and direction for my next step in this life. Now that’s a vacation!!!!The hope for the journey was that I would be lucky enough to experience energy along the way at one of the sites that we visited. Then at Newgrange, like all the other sites, much to my surprise, we experienced the energy of the enormous stones etched with ancient art.
At each new site, like Knowth consisting of one large temple surrounded by more than eighteen satellite structures believed to be tombs, Dowth the third of the great temples honoring the goddess, or Tara one of the largest Celtic monuments in Europe revered as a dwelling place of the gods, we tuned into the energy, meditated, participated in healing opportunities and shared insights. My Fairy friends seemed to welcome me home at Glendalough. I could not resist straying from the usual path to find the source of the feelings of sheer delight at this ancient site, the ‘Glen of the Two Lakes ’.
At Kildare we climbed the tower and the view of the countryside was breathtaking. We stood where Saint Brigid's flame burned for over a thousand years prior to the English reformation. Her holy well is still visited for the experience of miraculous healings and divine inspiration.
I had visited Muckross House and gardens on my previous trip to Ireland, however did not know at the time of the mystical part of the grounds. A walk back to the falls definitely puts you in touch with the elementals who dwell in the area. The forest does seem magical.
I actually made it up the 620 steps of the sanctuary of Skellig Michael, located 8 miles off the southwest coast of Ireland. On the return boat trip the sun came out, the dolphins played around us and I had a long overdue past life conversation and closure. An excellent day!!!!!
The Drombeg stone circle known as the ‘Druid's Altar' is a powerful place and we all experienced vibrations as we took turns lying on the Druid altar. Colors----- heat----insights---- you name it, we got it!
While we did not kiss the Blarney Stone while at the Castle, we did check out its ancient Druid heritage. As we walked behind the Castle to the Goddess’s area the crows cawed wildly, as if announcing our coming. Once there all became very quiet, perhaps she was watching as we all made our wish at her special stone.
Lough Gur’s Goddess Aine, brought to mind Hawaii’s Pele, as she too appears in different forms; as a young woman, and a hag, empowering the land's human custodians and she is known to defend her realm.
All in all ---- a fantastic trip!
I'll be getting next year's dates soon.
So if you would like to share in an incredible journey, stay tuned for plans of the 2008 trek into the past to enlighten the future..

"Dearest Finbarr, I ventured to Ireland with no expectations or preconceived notions. I went with only the intention to explore, enjoy and be entertained. The first day out, I asked myself what I would like to obtain from this two-week adventure. Nothing in particular came to mind, it wasn’t like I was expecting to uncover the truth about the universe, or some deeper meaning of purpose for myself, or some type of feeling so necessary for a full and joyous life. As I thought through what I would like to gain from this tour, the only thing that came to mind, coupled with my intention to be open to whatever shows up for me, was to learn about myself, my emotions, and to be in tune with what was coming up while it was coming up. I felt that was where my inner work lied at that time, to be present, thinking, processing and feeling in real time. We people are so conditioned to be past or future thinkers, so it was very refreshing to be present and remain present throughout the trip.
The trip through Ireland was indescribable. In retrospect it was a true pilgrimage. Coming into it with no expectations but with intention to discover something. A discovery of the self that it was! The intangible, invisible, untouchable energies felt where epic, heartfelt, majestic, interesting beyond belief, and inspirational. It began as a journey of the Irish countryside and ended up being more a journey of the inner self than of the land. Going to explore Ireland, I came away with great discovery within myself. I was intense. It was magnificent. It was mystical. Thank you. Rebecca Klemke"

"A group of retired international flight attendants and I decided to have our retirement party in Ireland since most of us were of Irish descent. Finbarr tailored the trip to our interests which included gardens and art. We stayed in wonderful out of the way places and had a wonderful time. It was like having a big brother traveling with you and trust me, traveling with a group of type "A" senior women who are accustomed to international travel is not for the faint of heart. He was a gem and I would follow him almost anywhere!"

"Dear Finbarr,Here it is in Wisconsin-- cold, cold, and more cold! On these frigid snowy winter nights, nothing brings me more pleasure than to pull out my photo album and look at all my lovely memories from my trip with you this last summer (2005). Instantly I am transported to the lush verdant green of Ireland!
I had such a wonderful time traveling with you through Ireland and seeing so many sacred sights. Though my mind is still boggled by what we saw, my spirit and heart felt that I had "come home" once more. Ireland is truly spectacular, and how you presented it made it even more special!! Thank you for sharing your home country and your profound knowledge!

"Congratulations if you are about to embark on a profound pilgrimage through Ireland's soulful history with Finbarr Ross. Finbarr is a generous and gifted teacher - he will impart deep layers of meaning and experience as he guides you through your own awakening on this mystical tour.I felt myself walking in my own footsteps up the Hill of Tara with the marvelous energy of this special place lifting me. St. Patrick's energy came alive for me as I gazed out from the Abbey Tower at Slane. In a fifth century monastery I felt the peaceful energy of the monks at prayer.
From Loughcrew/the Hill of the Witch, while the wind raged and whirled, I sat deep inside the burial chamber and knew this was a place full of compassion and power where justice and order prevailed.
Crossing the Ocean to Skellig Michael my spirit soared as we approached an exhilarating climb to the sky, and to the transcendent and mind boggling community that sits atop and scrapes the clouds.
Then I encountered the compassionate and strong feminine energy of St.Brigid - the marvelous of her urging me to look deep within to follow her example. The pilgrimage ends with a contemplative day at Glendalough where you will be able to draw all of these energies and experiences together to realize how much this journey has changed you. I will never be the same again, but will always walk with those images from long ago.
Thank you Finbarr for all that you do. I wish all who journey with you a bright and wonderful awakening as they journey with Celtic Mystical Tours."

"May I express my heartfelt thanks to Celtic Mystical Tours and Finbarr Ross for introducing me to the grandeur and mystery of sacred Ireland. As we learned, Ireland is a woman. We experienced many of her complexities, from the willful Maeve at Loughcrew to the radiance of her compassion at St. Cieran's Well at Inish Mor. We experienced the depth of her faith at St. Brigid's holy well. The passion and purity of St. Brigid's flame, which burned for over one thousand years, ignited our hearts with hope for the future. Words fail to express the gratitude, which I feel for the personal healing which I received at Brigid's Well. I have suffered with a serious lung condition since 1996. A process of physical healing began at Brigid's Well and continued over the next month as I was guided to receive some additional medical treatment. Today my lungs are clear for the first time in over six years!!!We learned that Finbarr has a deep connection with St. George the dragonslayer. He explained to us that the dragon is a symbol for the shadow within each of us and that transformation requires us to make peace with the shadow. This goal was achieved for me at Glendalough as I lovingly carried my shadow from St. Kevin's lower lake to the upper lake. I felt the light of truth gently illuminating and melting my shadow away. It is my hope that many others will share this journey of healing and growth".

My trip to Scotland with Finbarr was completely healing on every level. On the mundane level, the accommodations were charming and the scenery was food for the beauty-starved. More importantly, on a soul level, the tour left me feeling deeply nourished and healed by the magnificent energies we visited along the way. Finbarr’s practicality combines with a deep understanding of what we yearn for to produce a highly unusual respite from our normal lives.

"My pilgrimage to Scotland was absolutely an amazing experience...so much more than I had anticipated. The beauty of the landscape seemed untouched and frozen in time. It was easy to imagine what it had been like here for thousands of years. The 24 passenger bus was brand new with large windows, affording a view for all no matter which seat you called home. The small, intimate group felt like family from long ago. Even the bus driver endeared us all. The accommodations ranged from comfortable travel lodges to beautiful B and Bs.Our travels in Scotland took us to many ancient sites to include cathedrals, castles, and small chapels as well as visits to stone circles, standing stones, caves and cairns. We took many walks through the countryside to experience Rosslyn's enchanted forests, the Holy mountain of Schiehallion with its fields of crystal, lochs, waterfalls, bogs, fairy hills and sacred islands. My favorite was a day hike to and from the base of Loch Assynt where we greeted The Ones with No Names. The stormy morning hike through the bogs to the base of Loch Assynt was truly mystical, each soft step centering us for our connection with The Ones with No Names. On our return hike, the afternoon sun reflected off the rivers and waterfalls, gushing from the earlier rains, creating a magical playground. At each site of our journey, we connected with the earth energies, the mysteries of the past and we created rituals and initiations to ground us in the sacred ways and etheric realms.
Prior to traveling to Scotland, I attended the Divine Feminine Conference in London for the weekend. As this topic was new to me, it prepared me well for a deeper understanding of Scotland. I was able to take the knowledge of the divine feminine, the symbols, and sacred geometry and look for it in Scotland's landscape, architecture and art. The conference made the Scotland pilgrimage so much more revealing, interesting and fun.
I highly recommend investing in a trip with Celtic Mystical Journeys. Finbarr Ross, as the owner and tour guide/teacher, facilitates a deep immersion into the spiritual/mystical realms of Scotland, Mother Earth and the Divine Feminine. It is an experience that changes you inside out."
Sue A. from Wisconsin writes ...
"Our memories of Scotland are so outstanding. Our family, both individually and collectively, experienced profound energy shifts especially on the Isle of Iona and the ancient stone circles. Barry Dunsford's expertise gave us a deeper insight into the many possibilities of what ancient Scotland was like. It was a magical time that we all spent together and the special individual attention that you gave us was beyond what we expected. Thanks for your hospitality and excellent taste in the finest of dining."

Finbarr, many thanks for the life changing pilgrimage to the South of France with Celtic Mystical Journeys. Discovering the energy of Mary Magdalene and the Cathers has opened so many doors for me. While traveling to each magnificent and "moving" site, you guided us with grace, yet let us discover our own experience. Walking the labyrinth in Chartres Cathedral is an experience I will carry with me every day - it changed my life!!! Your compassion and understanding of each of us on our own level was amazing no matter what transpired each day. I am so grateful to know you!!Warmest regards,

"Dear Finbarr, Once again thank you for the fabulous tour of the Sacred Feminine Sites of France. This was the first tour I’ve taken and I was hugely impressed by the breadth and scope of the various sites we visited on the tour. I went to places I never would have discovered on my own. Not only was the information about the churches, pools and grottos interesting and informative but your insights into the mystical connections to the sacred made the trip the most valuable to me. My heart was most deeply touched by the Sacred Feminine Spirit that pervades the land and water in these areas. My most memorable mystical experiences were at the smallest church in Aigne and the large Chartres Cathedral. I know one can never plan where Spirit will choose to whisper in your ear.
I loved traveling with you. Your willingness to go out of your way to create optimum experiences for your travelers makes your tours unique. The time you arranged for us to have a ‘back stage’ look at the vestments, tapestries and sacred vessels at Notre Dames de Domes, was a special treat. I will certainly join you for another spiritual journey in the future.
Much Love,

"Just sending a note of thanks to Finbarr for a great trip to France in May of 2007. There were 8 of us and we really enjoyed everyone on the tour. We were all very different in the way in which we experienced the sacred sites and in what we were seeking. However, we found everyone very respectful. Our differences stimulated interesting conversations as we rode in our van through the French countryside. Finbarr chose wonderful sites for us to visit, many off the beaten path, but very satisfying and powerful. Our accommodations were well chosen and Finbarr has done a great job finding very good restaurants, in even the smallest of towns. Thanks Finbarr for the Goddess book, and please feel free to use this note in any kind of promotional way that helps you."

"Dear Finbarr, I thoroughly enjoyed our journey to the sacred sites of Southern France last year (2005), reconnecting with the energies of Mary Magdalene, the Black Madonnas, the Holy Grail, the Celts and the Cathars. For me it was the trip of a lifetime and a healing of past, present and future. So much history came alive for me through our physical presence, the wealth of knowledge provided by you and our interpreter Izzy, and the amazing channelings from 'Anna' through Claire Heartsong.
I have conducted several two-hour slide presentations of my journey, sharing much of what I learned and experienced with people in this area and each time it was received with much enthusiasm. It was the next best thing to being there in person.
So much of the information introduced to the general public by Dan Brown's DaVinci Code was affirmed and brought into greater focus through this wonderful journey. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is feeling a connection or is wanting to experience these amazing energies firsthand.
I look forward to other Celtic Mystical Tours of the British Isles with you in the future.

The cruise up the Nile was unique and a wonderful part of the tour as we stopped and visited so many incredible temples. Maha gave us wonderful information about each place that we visited. She is truly a special teacher as well as a tour leader. Thank you for all of the planning that went into this journey through ancient Egypt. We all came home enriched. "I have recently returned from Celtic Mystic Journey’s fabulous Mysteries of Egypt Tour. If you have ever desired to walk among the pyramids, see real mummies and explore the mysteries of Ancient Egypt, you cannot find a better tour than this. Finbarr Ross makes the best arrangements to ensure a Divine (in both senses of the word) experience by finding different and unusual places as well as the well-trodden paths. He even arranged for a private tour of the Great Pyramid for our group without the hordes of other tourists so we would have time for private meditation and a chance to rest in the Pharaoh’s sarcophagus—awesome. Our Egyptian expert, Maha, was a lovely, knowledgeable woman with a metaphysical inclination. She is studying for her Ph.D. in Egyptology. To me the advantage of travel is the discovery of myself through the exploration of new places, people, cultures, food, experiences and energies. I came home changed in new and exciting ways. I appreciated the time and energy I spent on going to Egypt and the internal traveling I did. The experience will last the remainder of my life."

"Thank you Finbarr for your kind words. You are an exceptional man and my life is richer for having spent time with you. I learned so much and I thank you for all the guidance you gave me, quietly and gently. I am realizing how blessed and fortunate I was to be part of such a small group. May all of your kindness and generosity come back to you tenfold. I loved every moment of my trip and there is so much that I want to convey that it is hard not being able to just sit and write. I think the Universe is making me pace myself and integrate things a bit at a time before I re-enter my life here.My flight was delayed in Istanbul and I missed my connection in Munich. I spent the night there, was fine, but by the time I got home on Friday night I had something, I don't know what, a cold, the flu, something that was both of those and neither. I have been cocooned for the last three days and only now am ready to join the world. I hope through my writing I can give you a little glimpse of what this trip meant to me.
I wish you a wonderful trip in Egypt and I look forward to my next trip with you. I am definitely going to Scotland and there is a possibility I will go to France with you next year. I am just not sure that I can make it in May. So we'll see!
Till the next time.
