In India BODH GAYA, a sacred place of pilgrimage is associated with the MAHABODHI TEMPLE, and is situated in the state of BIHAR. It is famous for being the place where Gautama Buddha (also known as Siddhartha) attained ‘enlightenment’ under the BODHI TREE, “The Tree of Awakening”

In Nepal – Kathmandu we will experience various Temples, including the Swayambhunath Stupa. We will experience the local ethnic Nepali villages of Bungmati and Khokana providing us the opportunity to explore their pagoda style temples, imposing palaces, shrines and architecture.. Here we can enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains of the Kathmandu Valley with its vast historic and cultural importance. Founded in the 7th century, and designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979 we will enjoy their unique culture.

In Tibet - home to the world’s most rare and unique opportunity for spiritual reflection and embodiment. Being immersed in the land of devout Buddhists, holy lakes with sacred blue waters like gems that glitter across the plateau, surrounded by glorious glaciers and walking below the unparalleled brilliance of the sparkling starry nights one cannot help but dive into deep introspection and a profound connection with the inner self. For example, at Lake Manasarovar we explore the highest freshwater lake in the world; believed to be where Maya Devi conceived Siddhartha Guatama. We travel through this magical land all the way to Mount Kailash, considered the most holy peak on Earth.

Wesak Festival: At the exact moment of the Full Moon in Taurus on May 13th, the Buddha Gautama, the Enlightened One, returns to Earth in a sacrosanct ceremony that takes place in the sacred Wesak Valley. This ceremony is officiated by Lord Maitreya, the World Teacher accompanied by many Masters of Wisdom, Initiates, and disciples of various degrees of awakening. (The word ‘disciple’ in this context doesn’t connote a follower, but indicates a degree of Soul evolution.) The Buddha appears briefly over a particular flat rock formation at the center of the valley. Lord Maitreya and the Masters are arranged around this rock in a ritualized pattern and begin to invoke the blessing of the Buddha by chanting the mantra of the Buddha. Surrounding the Masters are the Initiates (Arhats, Lohans, and Maha yogis) while the disciples are positioned on the periphery of this ceremonial event.

The Buddha soon appears as if descending from Heaven. His color is radiant gold, his right hand raised in blessing. His blessing is focused on the Masters of Wisdom who then act as a spiritual transformer radiating this blessing through the other participants and then out to humanity. On the rock below the Buddha there is a large bowl of water that receives the blessing and is then passed around for all those in attendance to partake of. The ceremony lasts only a short time. Many who attend do so in their subtle bodies, not always in their physical bodies. Once the ceremony is completed all the participants return to their fields of service and the valley is once again empty and silent.

WESAK is not just for the Buddhist. It is a spiritual event for Humanity. Lord Maitreya, the Initiates, and disciples represent the spiritual inner government of humanity which is often referred to as the Spiritual Hierarchy. The Spiritual Hierarchy is concerned with the evolution of the Soul in all humankind. The Hierarchy guides, teaches, protects, and uplifts struggling Humanity. There are many members, some who appear periodically in their physical vehicles and walk among us.

Taking part in the WESAK ceremony puts you in touch with a yearly effort by the Hierarchy. You now share and are included in the Work of the Great Compassion of the Buddha to uplift humanity. Together creating an association on the inner planes of Spiritual endeavor with the Schools (Ashrams) of Masters who work unceasingly for humanity. This association is like a seed planted in the fertile soil of Aspiration to Soul Awakening, service to the Schools of the Masters, and service to All.

In this year 2025 we have entered a new phase which humanity and our planet must pass through a 10 year period of Integration. We entered at the Winter Solstice 2024. The theme for 2025 is “Integration with the Self the Soul, the essential Self”.

This year at the time of Wesak we also have the 100 Year Conclave of the Master – The Great White Brotherhood of Light takes place at the Temple of Goodwill on Mount Kailash. Upon the conclusion of this meeting we will be advised as to when we can expect the masters to be walking amongst us.
