Flame Of Saint Brigid

Saint Brigid was a nun and disciple of St. Patrick, founding several monasteries. In the late 12th century, historians wrote that 19 nuns took turns keeping a perpetual fire burning at Kildare in honor of Brigid, a fire burning since Brigid’s time.
